working in california for 12 weeks this summer and i kinda want a car. i live in atl right now. these are just options that i know, please help me if there is a smarter way? i could also maybe sell my car in california?
Try Ford canvas program
Call up car rentals, they will give you sweet deal for long term rental
3 months? Just Lyft and Uber, you’re going to end up spending more money having a car there than ride-sharing. Gotta’ pay for gas, parking sucks, you’re gonna wear out your car even more with all that added mileage if you drive there and back.
Rent a car week to week because you're gonna want to bail on it week 2.
Rental would be like $3k total including insurance.
I’m going to assume you mean SF peninsula. I’m happy to have a car again, but went a year without one and it wasn’t that hard 90% of the time. I still don’t drive into the city much because parking there sucks. Last guy I knew who drove one down for the summer travelled a lot, but with the parking hassle would still have been better off renting as needed.
