I hear the work life balance isn’t great as a co. Check out NIO!
Lol wtf. There's no reasonable way their team is able to scout every "smart enough" candidate. @OP apply and find out! I hear it's a great team and have worked with a couple of their engineers. Would recommend a strong ML portfolio on your or attached to your resume when you apply (think kaggle and other side projects)
There is a lot more than AI in autopilot though
Insider: people are great, work is challenging (in an interesting way). Everything is getting better nowadays, next gen is coming and is very promising. Work life balance is terrible: everyone here loves their job and is very dedicated. You get to have a weekly meeting with Elon, which can be impressive but also put a lot of pressure on everyone. You get to test the product, which means you can drive a tesla almost whenever you want. Pay is very competitive, which is kind of needed considering the high expectations. We need AI experts of course, but also low-level expert, cloud experts, very good c++ generalists to work on the common infrastructure / libraries, QA people, engineer dedicated to write and maintain test frameworks / automation / dashboard, graphics engineer and simulation engineers in general, etc.
My date works there and he's obsessed with his work and mission.
I have a few friends who are happy
