At this YOE, Amazon will add more value to your profile. Also, I doubt Adobe can match your expectations

How is Salesforce? I am also expecting from them.

Don't join salesforce If it career killing company and your skill will go down the lane Boring work and toxic people No to sf

50-55 lpa is top-end of CS-1. So it’s certainly possible. Make sure to call your recruiter and tell them about your Amazon counter-offer.

Visa jgWA73 OP Jul 28, 2021

What should be good move if both offers stand at similar tc?

Microsoft zDOr03 Jul 28, 2021

Do you have a high pain tolerance and a major itch to move to the US? If so, then Amazon. Else, Adobe

Is it Adobe Noida? If it is, it will be hard to get it. But they are hiring a lot. So you may get it.

Flipkart fk.yuck Jul 28, 2021

Why specific to Adobe noida, does Adobe Bangalore gives more tc than Noida counterpart?

Visa jgWA73 OP Jul 28, 2021

Location I am not sure.Hard to get Means? Offer or high tc?

@op I would strongly advice you to consider Amazon. Adobe is not strong tech company and I can say from my experience that it's worst in terms of growth and climbing the ladder People generally don't work there, just play pity politics Most of talented folks leave under 1 year and only mediocre stay there Go for Amazon or Microsoft, I strongly say

Idk why people call Adobe as not a strong tech company? Dude it’s one of the best tech companies out there. If it was a boring/ old tech company it’s growth would have been stagnant over the years. Adobe has been beating estimates for many straight quarters over the years. I don’t think it would have done that if it wasn’t innovating. Also, it’s in a good position IMO, considering it being around 300B market cap, it is a tech giant, but still has a lot of upside considering it’s market cap and future growth. And coming to fundamentals, look at the revenue growth and profit margins. All this would not be possible if it wasn’t a “strong tech company”. To add on, it has the best WLB out there.

Man due to pandemic, everything has gone virtual. So for same product, customer base has increased That's the reason you see almost all company like Google, msft, apple etc are having best revenue and profit Same product is doing the trick, request you to please understand business and growth Adobe is and will always be not strong tech company. Their hiring is mostly limited to diversity and low hiring bar. yes wlb is best as most people sleep there and this is told my friend working over there Not strong tech company Good technical people leave within a year Thank you

I had replied before on this thread, checked back just now and I'm surprised to see so much ongoing debate. I would have guessed Adobe to be a no-brainer for most folks. OP, what do you mean by "growth" here? Do you mean you that you expect to be getting promoted regularly OR that you want to understand a specific technology (eg. backend web development) more? If you mean the former, then getting promoted to CS2 in Adobe is far, far easier than promotion to SDE3 in Amazon. There are about 15-20 SDE2's for each SDE3 so the promotion spots are limited there. If you work your ass off for ~60 hours a week in Amazon, you might get there in 2-3 years. If you mean the latter, then it obviously depends on what team you're getting in both the places. What teams are you getting? In more cases, Amazon should have a better choice of interesting teams (working on cloud, e-commerce and online web services, relevant technologies). But if you get a shitty internal tool development team (eg. logistics) or a toxic WLB org (there are so many of them) then pick Adobe. Also beware that you almost always will end up working >50 hours per week in Amazon, and most of it will be repetitive ops work where you're not really learning anything.

I just saw some salaries of Adobe and it seems that they cap is 40 for computer scientist. As of now I am waiting for the results after final round. I would be accepting Adobe if it goes around 47+ as I like the team. It is working on cloud part of Adobe. also received offer from sales force of 55 tc but the team works on internal tools.tough call. will take a call over the weekend.

Microsoft zDOr03 Jul 29, 2021

Not true, I know a old colleague making ~45L there. There is also this excellent resource on Adobe salaries: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI7SAc6eFOU&t=553s Salesforce would’ve been a great choice, but don’t join an internal tools team. Your won’t learn much.
