https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bay-area-expensive-employees-apple-170200852.html is this true?
Yea. Honestly I’m barely saving money
Get the hell out of hell.
Yeah I get lowballing offeres for IT Security... 155k wow... I'm so not estatic , or 85k even... with wife and kids. I'll keep Dallas area... Cali-fu'-that 4800-14.5k in rent a month it's like the plauge...
If a new city magically pops up out of nowhere with 2x the CoL and 2x the TC, people will move there for increased bragging rights on Blind
Yeah but you still have greater purchasing power in that city. Any debt you carry is still the same nominal dollar amount. If you buy a new car, it’ll cost the same in the theoretical new city as your current location.
A few more certifications I can make about that in Dallas/Fort worth, rent of 1300 -2250 (5 bedroom house with good bit of land rental property wise) SF I hear ppl commuting 50-70 miles in/out daily.
More like there are fewer women and more single men
If Yahoo publishes it then it is true
It’s isolating to be a younger parent in the bay. None of my friends will have kids soon and it’s hard to connect with other parents that are 8-10 years older. I’m 29 and have a 2 year old.
Story of my life!!
That's a good thing. American society doesn't need more kids, especially when there are already millions of people dying to live here
