The VP of my company thinks I lack curiosity and I may not get promoted bc of it. What are your thoughts on it?

Lack of “Curiosity” can also be code for lack of ownership, not being proactive, not being social, or not thinking critically. Once you get examples you can play around with determining what the feedback truly means regarding leadership or technical skills.

I have been a manager for many years. Your VP's comment is fluff, I would ignore it. Promotions are given based on evidence, so ask what would examples of evidence would be needed to show readiness for promotion.
