I know Amazon, msft are big but what other choices are there , do other tier 1 companies have a significant presence FB, Google , etc ...
Google has significant presence mainly in Bangalore
Google, Uber, Apple, LinkedIn, Flipkart, Walmart, and a bunch or other companies that are not exactly tier 1. But the pay in India has increased a lot recently. Even Adobe pays like 1Cr for an SDE3
Thanks will look them up..
What exactly is SDE3 at Adobe. One of my friend has got an offer at 70L+ at Adobe for Sr Computer Scientist position at Noida (~13 yoe)
Bob's and vagene are great, but the heart wants what the heart wants ...
There’s nothing in India unfortunately. Think about this. An Indian would rather move to crap countries like Belgium and France than stay in India and help grow their own country.
Take an internal transfer and figure out what you want to do while you enjoy the high TC due to high number of RSUs.
Yeh that's the plan just wanted to know what other options I have if things go south
Don't risk moving all along. Try for a transfer 1st. It's not about the pay. Its about culture and autonomy. It does not matter how much you know, the culture and work tactics might suppress you. I had friends came here and went back.
Indian economy is in the pits now, huge recessionary trends. have you been hiding under a rock? shit is going to hit the fat real soon. stay put or go bust
Doesn’t apply to the tech sector or does it?
While the economy is closely tied, j don't think IT will get direct hit. Most of the Indian IT sector is not run by domestic market.
