Given that Amazon doesnt provide specific feedback, how did you ensure that you get the offer in your second/third attempt? I’d like to hear from PMs/SDEs and anyone who would be interested in sharing their experience!
Dude, why do you want to work for Amazon?
What should you tell recruiters who are reaching out after your first attempt? Cool off period is generally 6 months(heard on blind) so do you just say “will reach out after x months?” How does providing this additional data of when I last interviewed screw up my chances of getting another interview?
The recruiters that reached out to me already had this information. They knew I interviewed earlier this year even before I mentioned it. I have been approached for another potential interview, fingers crossed.
Interesting - how long was the interval before they reached out? Good luck, and I hope you crack it and double your TC!
I used to work for amazon. Got the job after first try lol. Now I work for uber, also after first try.
Are you re-interviewing soon? I am on the same boat. Waiting for cool off. Good luck!
Yes, currently in talks with a recruiter. Hopefully, will get a Hiring Manager call and onsite.
Amazon is considered easier to crack among FAANGs. Make sure you really have good stories to tell for their leadership principles. Also learn about the STAR method.
I prepared for two-three examples for each leadership principle and used the STAR method. I suppose my stories didn’t meet the mark and I should prepare better examples next time.
Amazon can be really tough. I'm starting at Amazon soon and their interviews were harder than any other FAANG interview I've done where I received an offer. Your mileage may vary when it comes to interviews. Most Googlers I know had pretty easy interviews like leetcode Easy-Medium, but I'm sure it helped they knew people in the company with some pull.
