As I'm graduating from college(computer science), a few of my friends tell me that I should take Facebook's offer because it's a great and in demand "tech" company. In my opinion, Facebook isn't a tech company. It's a social networking company. It's all online, so there's a lot of technical things to be done to maintain it and give it new features, but I still feel that isn't not tech. Something like Cisco is a tech company. They have solid products. Google is a tech company, because their initial algorithm is a big technological feat. I compare Facebook to Hi5 and MySpace, but it's lasted longer and is more successful. Do others agree with my opinion?
Facebook is a social media company in the same sense that Toyota is taxi company. I.e. not at all.
You are over thinking this. Research on what happens behind the scenes. Google and Facebook are the leaders in AI in the industry.
So... it's only a tech company if most people don't understand what it is?
Applying the same logic, Amazon is not a tech company (except for AWS), it is just a tech enabled retailer. Netflix is not a tech company, it is a tech enabled TV station...
That’s true though about Amazon excluding AWS
Wonder why there’re any more comments after the first one? It’s hard to add anything to it.
Thought: you are an idiot
This actually made me cringe.
Lol OP. You've got no idea what you're talking about. Please don't accept our offer.
Go to bed, don’t you have school tomorrow?
And obviously you didn’t study enough for your courses!
