Potentially considering a team that uses ML, and the folks there spoke about ML university and other such courses at Amazon to help ramp up/onboard. Thoughts?
MLU is great for understanding how ML works and when to apply it. It's not intense enough to turn you into a data scientist though.
I've heard the opposite, someone with no ml background attended it but found that it was too intense and assumed you already know a lot about ml.
It is intense and requires time commitment beyond the class, but still not intense enough to turn someone into a DS. Did that person do the foundational modules? They are meant for people with no ML background.
