Thoughts on Hack Reactor?

I’m going to apply to Hack Reactor as I’m switching from finance to Tech. Anyone have any experience with them (ideally either in NYC or their part time remote)? Just a little background if you care. I’ve been the head of Investment research at a wealth management firm for 9 years now. One of the first hires. TC only $115 which is a big reason I want to switch into tech. I also like the challenge and the work itself in SWE opens up more doors down the road and it seems like a more exciting career. Finally, nobody on Wall St will say it, but what we do is essentially gambling so I figure it’s time to get a real job.

It works and i have friends successfully transited. But don’t expect a huge bump in TC after graduating as a junior eng.

What’s the usual comp path like? I’m not expecting any of those pay packages I keep seeing from FAANG employees right away, but know that in a couple years from now I’ll be making more than if I stayed in finance.

60-100k , as a junior dev. You will spend 3 months post program hustling for a job probably , and will still have to continue to learn a lot
