People at Thumbtack, what is the current outlook of the company's future? Have an offer and considering joining. How's the culture and the mood internally? Would appreciate any insight! TC: 200K
Company is losing $$$. Don’t go if you have other option
Thanks. They were pretty hot a few years ago. Shame they didn't keep up the pace
Thumbtack last round was in 2015 of $125M. We're still open and not bankrupt so, probably have some cash on hand. Assuming we have 25M in the bank, that's a burn rate of 25M per year when the Eng team has gone from 50 to over 200. So, are we losing money, yes. But again nothing that isn't sustainable.
Losing $$$? Which startup is not? Burn rate is pretty manageable. Funding announcement coming soon.
What's the internal morale like, in regards to the future? The recent funding announcement valued Thumbtack at 1.3 Billion (Though I've heard that may be wrong?)
Morale is OK with obvious boost from funding. Yes, the 1.3 figure is not accurate - official press statement hasn’t gone out yet and will have the actual numbers.
I’d like to join. Referrals appreciated

Enraged that kids prefer KPop to Bollywood. Installed cams in their rooms.
Heard lots of people left the company
Damn that's not good. Do you know why?
There's always people leaving, as with all companies. Attrition rate is normal. Nothing out of the ordinary.
