Can anyone share any insight? Please spare the China bashing, 996, etc. Asking as a sales GBO Googler 8yoe. Thanks.
Look at the senior leadership and then think if it’s worth joining . And by the way learn chinese.
I saw some news articles pointing to the US business team being top notch. Again my question is related to US sales teams. Thanks.
I am planning to join TikTok. I have been hearing about the work life balance issues and how the current employees stay back too late as a norm. I believe these things would change as and when they hire people like us who come from different backgrounds and stages of their lives. Ultimately people are the culture of their companies.
What is late for u? In US, I have seen folks coming and going between 10-7. Some stay longer coz their work demands or they came in late. Then there are people with kids who work 9-5. Folks are online on Lark and responsive (an amazing upcoming collaboration suite)...Ultimately, it depends how u work things out with ur manager.
Thanks for the insight

Not really 996 but folks are available on Lark which is another amazing and upcoming app from Bytedance (download and try before going for interview for some brownie points). It's a communication tool so u can respond sitting on ur couch at home and respond to any queries....base+bonus+rsu+signon(optionl)...free lunch, dinner (from Wolfgang puck & crouching tiger), fully stocked kitchen with fruits, snacks, dryfruits, milk, yogurt, non-alcoholic drinks etc. Game rooms, other great perks too. Great location. New office in LA is world class facility.
any TC examples? senior/principal/?
Thanks for the insight, I'm going in for interviews. When you write signon(optionl) what do you mean? Also the RSUs aren't liquid right? I mean they're still a startup. Lark is cool thanks for the tip.
