[serious] How does Blind feel about tipping delivery drivers? My opinion is that I want to tip, but not a percentage. For example if I order $50 worth of food from Uber Eats and it’s just one bag with 3 boxes, I would tip them $2-$3 not $10. It’s not any more work than $20 or $80 worth of food. Is this fair? I get they are doing a service and but it’s literally driving from A to B. Not a single one has ever gotten out of their car.
Btw a $2 tip is unacceptably small even on a $20 order
If everyone quit tipping the drivers would quit and the delivery services would be forced to start paying more. Tipping is stupid. Just stop tipping.
We must use social shame instead to make people pay for us via guilt!
Postmates gave me anew Unlimited trial and they tried to take a $3 cut on top of the "free" delivery plus an extra 25% of my bill as a service charge, and this is all before I'm expected to tip the driver. Fuck that, I'll just cook.
Ugh exactly this
I never tip. The reason I began using the service was because it was meant to be all inclusive.
Tip him over like a cow. Aha. Two sexist strikes in one. I assumed him and cow. Mooo
As a delivery driver we basically depend on tips. It's almost half of our desired pay. Without tips we are way underpaid. I hate that tipping is a thing but it's something I rely on. I always try to provide the best possible service to earn the tip, though. I apply my student discounts or coupons I may have, and I speed like hell to get you the fastest delivery possible, I make sure the order is correct, I put in extra napkins, forks etc, sauces, everything.

Percentage tipping is ridiculous. I tip generously but not based on percentages.
