I just recently founded my own company focusing on BigData and Analytics solutions. Any tips from other founders?
Have you taken funding?
No funding
Learn about dynamic selling or some other sales methodology- selling yourself and your product is a never ending process. The more you sell the less the dependency on VCs though they do provide more to you than just money so listen to them.
Realize that the second you've graduated from friends and family funding into VC/PE funding, the company is no longer yours
Can't you analyze the big data yourself and give yourself some insights?
Can you be more specific on your ask. You need how to raise funds , or sell to customers or hire good people or how to build great product or how to acquire customers or how to manage cash flow without vc ....... then it will be easy for others to respond. You can start googling or if you need personal experiences others can share on specific queries
Raise funds, find customers. That’s pretty much it for now. I figure the product is an individual solution tailored to a clients needs.
Talk to a lot of prospects to identify trends in what their pain points are, but don't build different products for each client, that will drive your engineers crazy and make it difficult for you to communicate a clear value prop when selling. Generally, resist the urge to be everything to everyone and develop a viewpoint even if it's a guess at first. Iterate.
Here's a tip. Don't take tips from people on blind.
That’s literally the best advice!
