Hello. I have been into photography for sometime on and off. I do take descent photos but struggle with editing them to give a professional look. Any tips on this would be appreciated.

Off late just portraits. But I enjoy nature photography more but just been hard to get out there these days. Are you a pro?

      Nice. I am into wildlife.
I definitely don't call myself as Pro.

You may see few of my stuff here. It's little outdated though.

  • My advice: take tons and tons of photos.
I got better just with spending time doing it and learning how to compose, understanding how exposure/iso/lens length and aperture affect the image, etc

Edit them, but the better you get with composition the less you may feel like you need to process them.

I hear this advice a lot. But without getting feedback on your work how do you know what needs to improve? Have you had a mentor or a photography buddy which has helped?

Probably buy some cheap presets from any trustworthy photographer for $5 or $10. The presets won’t 100% match your editing style or photo but you can always tweak the shadows and highlights and Colors in Lightroom.

This worked for me and I got a starting point for editing my pictures! DM if you’d like to know more - I’m also a professional food photographer.
