Hi,

We recently found out that we are pregnant! Super happy.. yayy! 😊

Looking for a great doctor for prenatal care in the Fremont area. Would prefer somebody who is a part of a hospital (Washington/PAMF/Stanford) instead of an individual practice. Please let me know what things we should look at while finalizing the doctor.

Any specific doctor you worked with and had a good experience?

Also, do you think selecting an OB from peninsula area (~30mins drive) can work out as well?

Please note that we have UHC insurance so Kaiser is out of question unless there’s an exceptional doctor.

    Would recommend finding a local one who is max 10 minutes away with rights to proceed in near by hospital. I would not recommend anything farAway , during emergencies it’s tough for both patient and doctor .and also multiple visits are well managed near by ! I am from the bay and was in similar situation hence suggesting. Also trY a non desi doc plus meet 2-3 before having final one .

      Check with Uhc all in network practice , stand-alone is 100% covered, hospital is very expensive with high copay ! Pregnancy is 100% covered if u go with in network ask ur benefits , check before any test , in network labs etc . Congratulations, but don’t forget insurance enquiry on every step 🎉😁it gets tricky and then pocket drips.

      Thanks for the info!! I ll check with insurance first. I prefer hospitals over individual clinic is because they ll have urgent/emergency care. If needed, the emergency docs will have access to all the past records.
