Tldr; C3 AI interview process was insane and they wasted weeks of my time and almost declined me after positive feedback Had a terrible interview experience with C3 AI. Had a call with the hiring manager who was impressed by my knowledge and track record of promotions but thought my resume wasn’t written well. He grilled me for over an hour with a very hostile line of questioning. I took the feedback and rewrote my resume and sent it to him. Two weeks later, recruiter reached out with a writing assignment and I finished and submitted it in time. Then had four back to back interviews with leadership and peers that went well. Thereafter, the recruiter reached out to me and said that interviews had gone well and the Hiring Manager wanted to talk again. I thought I am getting an offer. I get on the call with the hiring manager and he reads my feedback. All of it is positive with minor points of improvement. Then he says that he’s on the fence about me since feedback is good but that doesn’t mean he’s convinced and either he will downgrade me and consider me for a junior role and put me through more interview rounds for it or send me a decline next week. So in summary, they want me to take a pay cut, work 60 hours a week in the office (company requirement) and get covid, and get demeaned through the interview process. No thanks! If anyone here works for a less tone deaf and more sane company and you’re hiring, DM me. Looking for Program Manager or Strategy & Ops roles.
Sad to hear that. Thanks for sharing your experience
Indian engineering leadership. I'm surprised you're surprised.
That's an overgeneralization. Almost every big tech company has indian managers in engineering
Yes, unfortunately many companies are infested with incompetence.
The people I interviewed with were not Indian. I have seen a lot Indian engineering leadership be unprofessional but this is unnecessary generalization
Never seen a hiring manager ask someone to edit their resume and resubmit, you dodged a bullet by not joining
WTF
Don’t waste your time…. Say to him GTFO….
Who puts TLDR at the end? OP, fuck this company not worth your time.
Good callout. Fixed it. Yep I’m done. Withdrew my app
I thought TL,DR means Too Long Didn't Read. So it's appropriate to put it in the end coz that literally what it means
