Just got an offer from Toast with these numbers:
$130k base salary
4500 RSUs with 25% vested every year
$5k signing bonus

Thoughts on if this is typical for the midlevel position and if there's anyway I can increase the comp?

TC: $117k

  I assume this means base of 130k + RSU of ~56k = 186k was negotiated up to 220k? That seems like a pretty good negotiation.
  
  I am interviewing there now, hoping for an offer. Any tips on how you negotiated? And did they raise your base, RSUs or both?

  Yep TC increased to 220k and I'm hoping (like anyone else) that the toast ipo goes up more and more. Even a 5$ increase is a ton of money. As for negotiation, express your interest always in the company and that you're excited. Follow that up with a counter offer. It's nice to have another offer to leverage against. That's how I increased my TC. Just have a number 7oure happy with and shoot for it. You'll most likely get it
