My take : are you sure you are new 'data scientist'..focus on solving more and more real world problems. Kaggle's servers allow you to handle enough data for starting. if you really feel you are at next stage..choose a problem and get AWS for the run time of your models. Unless you are trying to make yourself feel good by buying a shiny new gadget
