I’m in marketing at amazon rn and would not recommend. Amazon doesn’t do marketing well and we have very limited resources. Forget trying to innovate because it will be a battle at every step. After 7 yrs I’m leaving and probably won’t return
Be genuinely curious about wtf the immediate team does. Ask questions, make them believe you can provide solutions.
If the interview is with your prospective manager, ask what success looks like after a month, then 3 months. Find out what metrics they’re focusing on impacting currently and how they’re thinking about attribution. Couldn’t recommend marketing at Uber more highly. Are you interviewing for a specialist role? A tip I never really took seriously that turned out to be true in my experience: Half your interview is to prove you are competent for the job. The other half is being a pleasant person to be around 8 hours a day. They have equal weight.
