Thinking about making a move to NYC. what are the best companies that are hiring software engineers, and what type of projects are they working on? yoe: 5, tc: 230k
Most of the Bay Area top mentions are in NYC too, but in smaller sizes. Apart from those, hedge funds like Two Sigma/Citadel/HRT etc
You have a good question (what projects are big in NYC tech companies). I have not seen it answered here.
Every tech company in NYC is hiring software engineers to work on projects relating to their company
I made the move to nyc 2.5 yrs ago. You could get your current TC at Bloomberg or even a tiny bit higher (all cash no stock).
Or much higher at FANGMULLA etc
True. But BBG has that wlb :)
nyc is old money jpm, gs, mstanley, and is no place for a developer who wants to do more than write SQL queries and excel spreadsheet macros
Microsoft is good in nyc
