There was a post a few months ago asking for a list of good tech companies (TC-wise) who only hire GC-holders/Citizens (well the exact term was something else but I rephrased it to be nicer). I can't find that post now (was it flagged by the tolerant "community?") Anyway, can we start forming that list again? Please let us know here if you know of any. PS: I know most defense/military companies fit here but they typically don't pay well compared to tech. My TC: 120k #tech #citizens #greencard #wellpay
I don't think boa sponsors
Palantir
Boeing or Lockhead?
Just wondering why one might care about this?
Because one might see things at their workplace prompting them to care about this
Blinders are predominantly foreigners
Usaa but they have loads of contractors
You need to go to a shit company. High paying jobs look for the best talent and have budget to sponsor visas and green cards once they find anyone good. You need to find a company that wants to save the 20k visa fee lol (Imagine how much they will try to save from paying you)
You may want to research what companies/teams don’t use consultant firms with lots of offshore resources (Tata, Infosys, Quest, etc...).
National labs often require security clearances you can only get as a citizen
We have a good amount of foreign nationals. Mostly H-1Bs though it's less common in our core software engineering groups. It's moreso on the research side that you'll encounter a lot of foreign talent. Edit: We are also not well paying when compared to high CoL areas.
Booz, CGI, Leidos, Randstad, Genderal Dynamic, CodeIntel, Cherokee, Alpha Omega, Deloitte (has several), Cherokee, Chesapeake, Splunk (several), EGS, IAP Worldwide. Nopblis, 1901, Microsoft (has several), and that's all I can think of off the top of my head, that would have over 200k TC and require a SC.
Looking for reduced competition in interviews or is this some nationalistic thing?
Neither
Then...?
