Idk man. I agree with this article, but this "journalist" looks like a Democratic Party agent. Washington Post has also been a critic India's Right wing ruling party, and spoke on the sides of Islamic extremists and Communists in India's scenario.
Take back your taxes and social security $ if they decide to send you back with interest. This country has no value system for humans more for votes.
Taxes are paid for the common goods while you live here, such as school, library and road. So you can’t really “take it back”. SS is always yours no matter where you are or your immigration status. But I could be wrong.
They don’t pay SS and Medicare to non- citizens but deduct it from paychecks of H1B

Listen, the government doesn’t want to fix the H1 GC issue! The request to extend GC to Indians who have been working in US from past 10+ years has always fallen on deaf ears! So what do Indians do now? Take risk and be prepared for the worst! In this case, Dr Majumdar took a risk and thought getting a visa will be a cake walk and then he got hit by a surprise...
At least Indians are privileged to have high paying jobs. Look at the refugees who are living like dogs at the border. They are the true victims. We need to help the undocumented immigrants first!
