Does anyone work at Toyota in Plano, tx that could give some tips on how to land an interview? I’ve been applying for multiple jobs in the finance/acctg fields and never got a good response back. TC $105 Thanks

I’d be interested too but it would be an industry change for me.
Master the taleo application. It’s like beating an algorithm. Source: I work there.
How do you do that though? They seem to have a very particular criteria in hiring that the outside world do not know. Do you mind sharing how you got in?
Make sure your resume matches the key words on the job posting. Use the exact same language. Taleo screens for word matches. If you don’t match 90% of what the job is asking for you probably won’t even get a person to look at the app. Also, the first few questions they ask are knockout questions. For example: How many years of experience do you have doing xyz? Choice 1: 1 year Choice 2: 2-5 years Choice 3: 6-10 years Choice 4: 10+ years If you choose 1 or 4 you are likely to be eliminated based on too little or too much experience. So let’s say you have 1 year, choose 2-5 and beef up any unpaid experience you’ve had. This is just to have a person look at it! There are also online resources that will let you know how your taleo app will score. Just google it. If you make it to the interview you’ll have 4 or 5 interviews. So, you still have a lot ahead of you. Toyota is very competitive. I have a niche skill set and got the first job I applied for. Finance is more common, it just may take 5-10 tries. Also, submit a word doc not pdf. Taleo cannot read pdf files, although it will still accept one.
