What is with the idea that you have to be first and therefore cannot let anyone over? Also, is merging really that hard? It's every person let's one person in to weave. Not difficult. Oh and I can see your racist Facebook posts while you drive, put your phone down. My favorite is the people checking there bank accounts.
Take a bus. Makes it even easier to spy on people's phone usage.
Or BART in the Bay Area. The number of times people check their credit score is hilarious. The richer they look, the worse their score I find.

I totally get boxing out people who have "cut to the front", but if I'm just trying to do a normal zipper merge or do a signaled lane change in traffic and you block it, you're a piece of shit.

Agreed, lot of idiots on the road in the Seattle metro area. Few seem to understand "if I let you in, that creates space for me to get out." The guy on the way out will try to drive faster, just to cut you trying to merge in.

People don't understand that, from the moment they leave their house to the moment they get wherever they need to, they are in other's people way, and the sooner they get the fuck out the better it is for everybody.
Ive seen people leave the left most lane to get into the merging lane and race to the front to get back into the left lane. Like how important is your work really?
Assuming you're referring to an exit lane, there are too many drivers taking the same route who will drive to the front and force their way into the queue. It's those cutters who'll get shut out. Agree that many don't understand the zipper merge - one car goes through then the next and repeat.
