Best LCOL or MCOL city?
On H1B visa money transfer to outside US has gift tax if money transfer exceeds $15000. Apart from that will there be any other consequence in transferring money from US to a country other than home country? My friend does some import & export business and need to send money to Vietnam. He requested me to send money from US to his Vietnam business partner as he has high service and conversion rate charges from his native place. As I'm on H1B visa I'm wondering could there be any issues in future with tax filing or USCIS due to transferring money to non native country? TC: 200k
Trap. I would not do. Do you know what be business does? You may be involved in illegal activity just by trying to help and get in trouble for no reason.
No it's a legitimate import and export business. He is a trustable friend. It's just exportation of rice and pulses.
Could potentially be seen as money laundering. You are not authorized forex dealer. don't do this.
def do NOT this. tell your friend you want to help but won't be able to. this isn't worth fucking up your visa status
I think this is called almost money laundering.

Ask him how much he’s gonna pay you for this. Don’t do sh*t like this for free.
