Tired of being called Full stack developer. Due to shortage of workers at work, I have been pushed into doing something I don’t like or care about, not technical intensive so totally demotivated to work and no growth in this role and no sight of getting promoted anytime soon. I have been doing Python and ML related courses, which is of my interest. Can someone advise how to steer towards data science career from full stack developer ? 35 yo Tc : 120K #tech #dataanalytics #data #datascience #fullstackdeveloper
If you’re trying to pivot into this another strategy is pick a domain/industry you’re interested in roles at and learn about the business. That way you can offer data-driven insights with less worry about picking the right tools/tech stack.
That’s a great advise, we do have lot of domain experts in my current workplace, I can talk to them and get use cases

You're probably looking for MLE roles. Take a coursera course, do something ML related at work for your resume and start leetcoding for the companies you're aiming at.
Any core skills or technologies that I should focus on ?
Python, pytorch for deep learning, ML, SQL
