Transition into software industry

My wife is an engineer but from a non tech background. Since she had been interacting with me and my friends who are from tech background, she was fascinated by the work we do. She wants to transition into tech but don't know how. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Perhaps that decision is premature? I would imagine she would want to base that decision on more data points. I also say that as I know many people that went through bootcamps and even an apprenticeship and it was clear to them as it was to me that it wasn't meant to be for them (not for me :) ). It's a long way from this initial fascination to getting a job. But that fascination should offer the motivation to start looking into a language and even start making some applications. That should help her collect more data points, build that motivation, reassure her that its the route she wants to take and find out what specifically about tech she likes as there's quite a lot of routes to take and a variety of employers.
