Transitioning to SE from non tech, not sure about comp

I have a follow up interview for a startup (series A) in the DC area so I'm pretty sure they're going to ask about compensation this go around and I'm not sure how much I can ask for TC and how much of that should be salary vs commission/performance based. LinkedIn says the average base in my area for 1-5 years of experience is 97k with TC being 125k, but in the startup size TC is closer to 93k it looks like. I have 8 years of experience in customer facing sales and account management roles, some more technical than others - assisting with integration installs and troubleshooting for the most part. I get the impression from the initial interviews that they're actually pretty interested in someone with my background because I could also be a resource for developing internal product knowledge. Does anyone know what a sales engineer just starting out would make in the Washington DC area or how much I should ask for? I figure if I know what someone with no experience makes I kind of have my upper and lower limit.

To give some insight, Salesforce TC for SEs (not senior) is in the 150K range and that’s in the DC metro area (NOVA). A different company reached out to me for a senior SE role. I told them 150k for base, they didn’t have a problem continuing the interview process. Experience I have in that space is 4 years if that helps.
