Hi, I recently accepted an offer from another company and now waiting for my H1B transfer to get approved. I wish to visit my home country for two weeks. Should I : a) Wait for H1B transfer to get approved. Apply for leave at current company. Come back and give notice of two weeks ? Will this be bad on my part ? b) Get H1B approved. Give notice. Move to new company. Work for a few months and then visit home country ? What other options are better ?
Wait for h1b approval, give 2 weeks notice, visit home country after 2 weeks and then come back and join the new company.
Option b

Check with the attorneys. You can use lawbench.com and post your question there. You can choose from the participanting attorneys who you want a response from. Reasonable price too. $20-$40 depending on the number of attorneys you want a response from.
I did option b and the new manager screwed me with the holidays. The guy was unreasonable and made me apply unpaid leaves. Lesson learnt, take vacation before giving notice or reach an agreement with new manager beforehand.
Submit document to company immigration team and go for vacation.Law firm will take 4 weeks to file and another 2 week for approval under premium proccessing.Ask them to file immediately once you back from vacation and meantime they will work on LCA and prepare the document for filing.
Good advice.
One of my friends waited until his approval. he already had his vacation abroad prior to that. before going to vacation, he notified his manager that he will be leaving right after vacation. manager said yes. you can also go for vacation, come back and then notify ur manager.
I have personally traveled to my home country in between jobs. I took the new company i797 with me and that is all they ask for at the Port of entry when you return.
AFAIK lawyers suggest to not travel while your case is pending with uscis
Yes. I am not traveling before I get my case approved.
