People will be extremely anxious. If you are young and won't interact with anyone elderly when you return, and it's within the next two weeks. Go for it.
ny is not panic mode like the bay area, but it will be in a week or so, is my guess.
I would recommend flying into LGA (mostly domestic/NA).
I left NYC for MIA last Sunday, and there was no health check anywhere in Terminal 5 (JetBlue). I avoided flying back at the end of last week because I need to be back in Miami later this week anyway.
Working remotely down here until the project wraps up in about a week or two.
