Does anyone have experience of traveling to Canada and returning to Seattle with expired h1b stamp but approved 797 extension? I understand 30 day automatic validation rule gets applied. But I also have change in employer. So my visa stamp belongs to my previous employer and 797 belongs to current employer.
I wouldn’t
Sorry this made me laugh. @OP how can you enter US with an expired visa? 😂 797 is NOT a visa.
How about entering Canada. Are you getting a Visa.
I did it once. PM me for more details.
Hello i am planning to travel to mexico and use automatic revalidation. Will there be any issue is getting boarding pass when returning back to US ( i am travelling by southwest).
I went to Mexico once and came back through Automatic Visa Revalidation. But my employer was same on expired visa and new I797. My advise would be to check with you lawyers, and also call the port of entry where you want to enter United States back. I did the same and confirmed with them. I also took with me all original immigration related documents.
As long as you travel by land, expired visa doesnt matter with valid i797
But always consult attorney, this year its all messed up and might not be same as previous years
Did it once. Although i travelled by bus.. PM me if you want to learn more. And yes you won’t have any issues at the POE
Don't u need to go for h1b stamping?
