Trump on Sunday took aim at George W. Bush after the former Republican president issued a call to push partisanship aside amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

In a three-minute video shared on Twitter on Saturday, Bush urged Americans: “We are not partisan combatants. We are human beings, equally vulnerable and equally wonderful in the sight of God," Bush said. "We rise or fall together, and we are determined to rise."

In an early morning tweet on Sunday, Trump called out Bush for his failure to support him as he faced an impeachment trial earlier this year over his alleged dealings with Ukraine. He cited apparent comments from Fox News anchor Pete Hegseth, who asked why Bush didn't push for "putting partisanship aside" amid the trial. “He was nowhere to be found in speaking up against the greatest Hoax in American history," Trump said.

      I like W except for when he starts arbitrary wars or selectively decides to re-enter politics. I generally think all former Presidents shouldn’t speak politics after they depart. It’s like former CEOs criticizing current CEOs- it’s unproductive.

      Might also just be anti-Bush people. I don't like Trump, but Bush was objectively worse. Or at least, he helped create the conditions that led to Trump becoming president.

      I think also there's people who support the office and not the man, reluctant Trump supporters who wish for the country to succeed. Or also people who don't like Trump but are getting tired of pretending all the world's problems started in November 2016.

      I admire Trump because he follows on what he promised during the compaign. I dont see many leaders in the world do that. If you are Indian remember Modi promised that every indian will get 15lacs into their account when he is able to get the black money back. We know the story. Same goes for many leaders in the world. Trump is the only one who make sure that he delivers what he promised during the compaign or at least try to deliver. Look at immigration now the mexico has military not allowing people to get into usa. This is what we want from our leaders who do the work for the people. He is doing it every day. And look at the economy where he took it and low taxes. Covid has brought it down but with Trump policies we will be right back in no time but if we support Biden in Nov we are doomed as he may not remember he is the president of usa. So if you want the economy to be back what it was in jan-feb 2020 we need president trump
