Role: Sr. SWE YOE: 6 Location: Bay area Base: 155k RSU: 200k (over 4 yrs but the good news is they said it vests monthly after 1st year) Sign on: $5k (Seriously?! WTF) Bonus & Refreshers: Recruiter said it would depend on performance, any median percentage figures from Twilions would be helpful. TC: $210k+ Sad truth: This is better than my current TC How can I negotiate better? They don't seem to budge.
Don’t accept it, say you’ve been assigned a new project at work and would like to stick it out a bit longer. Or something like that. Be extremely gracious. Finish your interviews at FAANG. Offers don’t expire in Silicon Valley.
HR said the offer expires in a week. I am still eligible for a job there but they said there is no guarantee I would get the same numbers, level etc.
Yup, standard pressure tactics. Recruiter knows you’re getting lowballed and is desperate to get you to accept. As long as you’re not rude and don’t burn bridges you’ll be fine.

You can get another 10-15k on that salary plus 100k more in rsu. Get another offer and negotiate it.

Added location in the original post. No other offers yet but have interviews lined up including couple of FAANG but the HR is pushing me to accept this
you should ask them to respect your timeline with an attitude to walk away from the offer. they should back down and give you more time. emphasize that you want to find the right fit
