Is Two Sigma a good place for SWE to join today? Any Two Sigma SWEโs willing to share their experience working at the company? Interested in things like: - Career trajectory / promotion speed - SWE vs quant dynamic - General culture
Are there promotions at those fin techs? Doesnโt TC just increase without actual promos?
If you are trying to switch to the financial sector it maybe a good segue, otherwise itโs no good as youโll be a second class citizen in the financial sector as a swe. In tech, swes are king!
I've worked at Two Sigma and a FANG. can confirm this is not true. We are mostly SWE at two Sigma
Two sigma may be an exception then. Have you tried going back from two sigma to tech though? I suspect the transition is much smoother in one direction than in the other.
