Two Sigma interview process and details
Anyone went through Two Sigma interview process recently? I am talking to a recruiter for scheduling rounds for SWE roles (L4-L5) 1. What kind of questions to expect? Same as google /FB level ? 2. What nos. to expect? Do employees get access to “employee only” fund similar to RenTech etc ? YOE :9 TC : 300k #engineering #software #swe
Not Jane Street / HRT kinda hard
Google level hard Little more than Google level pay but maybe not depending on google stock. Less than FB for sure. Less than both compares at staff and up levels Employee fund is forced with 20% of your bonus. Returns are vested over 4 years. Fund returns were worse than just holding FAANG by double digits. Really a con.
Wow returns that bad huh ? Maybe itl catch up when the market turns. How is the company overall? Too much politics? Tech? R u liking it there ?
Overall many senior people are not happy. Lots of turnover there, comp for senior+ has not caught up to market rate or inflation. Stay away if you are interviewing for L4 or higher, you’ll do much better at Amazon or citadel or Facebook, (even considering wlb). It’s good if you want Mediocre pay with low risk and good wlb, but tbh you should rather go to google or LinkedIn in that case.
Leetcode style questions were a mix of medium and hard, I thought the hards were reasonable though - I didn’t get any “memorise this obscure algorithm” style questions.
