I just found a typo in my cover letter template that I used for almost all of my applications. Should I file for unemployment or do recruiters even read these things?
Depends where the typo is. First line? Most might not read it Why are you leaving Tesla?
Second paragraph 🤷🏻♂️. Moving to New York and Tesla’s not in NY 😪. I liked Tesla though might say fuck it and move back
You should write an apology letter to your middle school teacher.
As a recruiter myself I don’t look at cover letters at all. The resume is all that matters.
Do people still send cover letters in general? At our company, I never see them with the online applications....as HM I just review the resume
Most recruiters i know don’t even read them. Hell, they barely read your resume.
Cover letters are not really a thing anymore.
As a hiring manager, it would show me a lack of attention to detail. The resume would need to make up for it. You are basically putting yourself in the bucket of people who commit code that doesn’t even build.
I concur completely. I need to know you dont need to rely on an IDE to get things done.
You missed a comma in your OP, too. 🤦♂️
I did. But also that’s ^ not how you use commas
It depends on the intent. In this case, it's emphasizing that you messed up once again. A comma is most definitely valid. In the words of Cap, "I can do this all day."
