As an eng, working with them is cancer. Very little technical knowledge, super micromanage-y ("have you put out the diff yet?" Questions like every 3 days like lol no I haven't) Worked with 3 and they all have tunnel vision, as all they care about is the project they're assigned without thinking how they're affecting (read: slowing down) other teams working with them. PM is a legit role that strategizes, looks forward, gets people excited, and helps execute. TPMs are none of the above

I work as a Product TPM. They help SWE who have no feaking clue of domain or product. Product TPMs are Technical or domain experts. It depends whom you work with :)
so what does the PM do if you are bringing domain/product knowledge to the table?
Hello Facebook, would you be able to shed on the interview process for Product TPM?

There is no Product TPM role. Is it Product Manager - Technical?
It’s, Technical Program Management (Product)
Wow! I didn’t know they existed. TPMs there usually work on platform or infrastructure stuff.
