It’s just not. People who say this are clearly boomers who do not understand social media. I remember back in 2008 when people thought Facebook was a threat to Google just because Facebook was extremely fast growing. Look at them now, both part of FAANG.

Tiktok will never be a threat to Facebook. They’re not even remotely the same. People go on tiktok to watch funny VIRAL videos. People go on Facebook to connect with their inner circle and update their life to people who are friends with you.

On tiktok, you can’t post pics, photo albums, or even create a group chat. You can’t even make a tweet. It’s hardly a SOCIAL media by my standards. I go on tiktok when I want to see viral funny videos. Calling tiktok a threat to Facebook is just hilarious to me. Tiktok is more a threat to YouTube than it is to Facebook. I guess people love hating on Facebook nowadays.

Yes, Facebook and Tiktok can coexist. In fact, most TikTok’s get shared onto Facebook and in messenger groups themselves. Then groups of friends actually socialize on the actual social media, which is Facebook Messenger, about the funny video.

How people on here don’t understand this simple difference just astonishes me. How are you guys in the tech industry, yet so clueless about your products?
