Which one? 10 YOE 400k TC
MBA = cash cow for schools (massive profit center). You are a sucker if u go for an MBA these days.
Elaborate.
Neither lol. You’re making 400k
Prestige chaser
Both produce an equal amount of useless individuals
The sneaky way to prestige is to get some certifications from Harvard or Wharton. Money is the only qualification to get in.
Yup, money or power. Hbs or wharton will give you prestige and connections but not more $ already at 400k so not worth it. If switching careers go UCLA since better tech recruiting.
What do you want to do with the MBA? do you plan to stay at Apple? The industry you want to be a part of and the specialization (marketing, finance, supply chain, etc) are key factors in picking the school. Some rank better than others in certain specializations. The other factor is cost, compare the aid packages. Finally, look at who recruits at those schools. When I did my MBA, anecdotally it was mainly CPG, Consulting, Automotive, and Tech...if your goal is to grow within Apple to get to Director/VP/C-suite, find a mentor, go part time, and have Apple Pay for it.
If you are making $400K TC, you are now at a position where, there is no path forward to a higher TC that requires an MBA or even one that becomes easier with MBA.
Neither. Not good enough ranking. If you absolutely want to change career, UCLA is better
Cornell only if you want to move to investment banking in nyc and you can finish #1 or #2. Then worth it. Otherwise, go to the school that will give you the best network at a reasonable cost. Cornell is not that school.
Neither?
