Say you got hired by employer 2 and have to move to the US.

You have employer 1 you are currently working for and ideally won't want to quit that job until you get your TN/H1 visa stamp for employer 2.

Once you get the stamp, how long do you have to quit employer 1? Is it any time before employer 2's start date fine? Or do you have to quit before that point?

In my case I am trying to get a TN visa (for Canadians). So I'm not in the US yet. So my question is once I get the TN and move to the US, at that point do I have to quit my current employer immediately? Or can I wait until the start date of my next employer?

Let me phrase it this way for you. Payroll dates cannot overlap. ie you cant get paid from your employers on same day, no matter if its even a single day.
