Posting for a friend.

Capability owner - Grade 28. Prior to an interview Recruiter has shared 105k as base with no mentioned of annual bonus, sign-on etc.

Is it a fair offer? What’s ideal salary? How much sign-on and annual bonus?

Exp: 4 yrs (Product owner, Sr Business analyst, Data Analyst)
Location: Chicago (remote)

Optum/UHG or generally health care provider recruiter are well known for low balling. Any insights is much appreciated ( In his/her words)

I work at Optum but not in IT business side, so I don’t have a good idea of salaries in that area.

    OP, there are well-defined salary ranges based on grade. If you work there, just check the intranet site for a definitive answer. It's certainly higher than 105 for a 28 in Chicago.

    Yes, but unfortunately there are not really being followed though plus they are very wide ranges. I have also personally experienced this.
