I am a UI developer and have an offer from LinkedIn. I heard that the tech stack at LinkedIn is heavily invested in Java, Kafka. Across the company Is it expected/mandatory for UI developers to pick up Java as you grow in your role? Yoe:3
No you are not expected to know Java. But you are expected be really good in JS and learn Ember
The only time I work with Java is when I go out of my way to do so (because I want to). You will spend most of your time with Ember, JS, CSS, and HTML
