My dad calls Zuck “Darth Mark” and celebrating Facebook stock crash. Makes considering Facebook as a job uncomfortable. The company needs to improve its public reputation. It makes even investing in the stock risky as how do you stop declining user growth when you are a hated company?

I cannot prove it, but I would speculate a large % of people in tech who “hate meta” are envious of those who get an offer. Not all people are this way for sure.
The older you get, the more you realize most people don’t actually give a shit about you, they are projecting their own insecurities and unhappiness onto your situation to make themselves feel better. Learn this and life gets a lot easier. Not a replacement for genuine self reflection and listening to feedback from people who do care (usually family and very close friends), but learning the difference between the two is very liberating.
