I don’t have Youtube premium. Since the Covid outbreak, I am noticing Youtube pushes much more ads when I watched. I’m forced to watch 5 second’s ad and then another at least 5 second’s ad before I can get to the video content. During my watching time, another 5 second ad + at least 5 second ad come up every 7-8 minutes. If I pause the video and resume the video after 3 minutes, a message says ad starts in 5 seconds. Of course Alphabet met the financial objectives and had great growth in YouTube because you monetize our time like you don’t care.
Google Photos will stop giving unlimited storage. With cloud services, the marginal cost of supporting a user is mini minimal. Another near-zero cost revenue line.
Stop Google.

Your need for instant gratification is alarming to say the least; especially since you could simply buy the premium service if the ads are such a monumental inconvenience to you..
I will reduce YouTube consumption as well. I won't pay for premium because they pester me every time asking me to consider starting a premium trial.
Free for one user is minimal cost. Free for millions is not an insignificant cost. If you work at Amazon, unless you're in the warehouses and still on food stamps, you can afford to pay.
