About to be fired from Google Cloud India - Customer Engineer
TL;DR : Dont Join.
Hey PPl, i joined GCP India in 2020 and it has been a horrible ride :)
The management is full of dinosaurs from Oracle/IBM.
Culture is downright shit - its not google....read ahead, you will know.
Anyways, the leadershit has been hired from Oracle - i need not say more.
These guys stole a lot of IP from Oracle, being a "Enterprise" Company - like Account plans, contacts, customer data etc.
One of these ex oracle guys gets fired for stealing data, and i was working with him.
Now the whole ex-oracle leadership is loaded with pitchforks and coming after me to silence the last weak link and to close the steal once and for all.
Thats my first post. TC 80, 80L total RSUs, 20L vested annually.
Lets see - if google really believes the shit that they teach or its just blah blah.

Oracle people are generally successful here....so might be a good move for you.
I think op was comparing against L4 SWE who also end up at around 70L to 80L range.
