I'm an Indian currently working in Amazon UK. I am frequently getting calls from Google HR in India (Given my leetcode prep and very ambitious hiring in Google India, I believe my chances are really good). However I want to stay in Europe and want to quit Amazon (due to fear of PIP every now and then) and join Google (better wlb, less stress and better brand name). Given that Google is hiring very less in Europe (other than Poland) and very high in India.. what should I consider?
Is it a risk to interview for Europe locations and get rejected because of high supply and low demand?
For India, I definitely see a lot of not so talented folks getting in during this period of very high demand.
I have heard COL/salaries are very low in Poland, also it's not a good place to spend your time.

Btw, How do they notice your leetcode prep?
For a full year, on 108K salary, post tax income would be 69,733 (some of this will be pension but let's count that in as that's still yours)
1.5L is a reasonable expense for a very decent lifestyle in London/cambridge. Assuming that, total 12 month expense is 18K
Add expenses for once a year india flights - 0.5L
Thus savings would be ~51L on a frugal lifestyle. This is the same as 75+L India salary with similar lifestyle.
However if you are not frugal, India will deliver better savings due to very low cost of services/labor.
Note that 75+L is a senior engineer salary so not quite comparable but you get promoted faster in india, have more options to switch & salaries grow 7-10% vs 1-4% after discounting for Rupee currency depreciation.
Also, more pure tech opportunities in Bangalore than London
And, from 100K to 125K, your income is taxed at 60% in UK (weird laws) so not much short term upside
London does have good payers like FB, hedge funds that india does not, if you are into those.
For an average software engineer, over long term, I definitely see india as a better option both for salary & growth.
But decisions like these are personal - choose what life you prefer.
As @NinjaGuru said above, I see London as a great place for short term to earn some quick bucks for 3-4 years at junior/mid level, explore a bit and return back.
Let us know how things go for you and I will take lessons from your experience then. ๐
