US is not the place for permanent settlement

I became a permanent resident in US a few months back. Now I’m skeptical living here permanently due to many reasons: 1. Healthcare: I’m suffering from chronicle diseases (diabetes, high blood pressure). The moment I quit/lose my job, I will not be able to afford medical service costs. I recently had very bad experiences with getting medical assistance from primary care when I suffered from abdominal pain, chest pain etc. Primary care team does not respond hence only option was to go to urgent care which is too expensive. 2. Affordable homes: There is a totally weird competition for home purchasing in Seattle/east/north. Unreasonable selling prices and low rated schools everywhere. 3. Not living closer to parents in their last days Parents are getting older and living far from them (the other side of the world) make me guilty every week. 4. I do not experience drastic difference of education level in kids in my home country and US Thinking about save money as much as possible and get ready to leave anytime. With 300k savings, I can comfortably retire in my home country where healthcare is free. I’m writing this here to discuss with fellow blind community to understand if my thinking are justifiable/reasonable.

Damn dude, I thought I was an asshole, but you beat me on this one. Wanna grab coffee sometime?

In your situation the logical thing, imo, is to go back and retire. No amount of money will beat memories with your parents. Not to mention that healthcare won't be fixed for a while here.

Which country you are from to have a free healthcare?

Amazon amz2018 OP Feb 14, 2018

A south asian country closer to India.

Apple shillphilr Feb 14, 2018

Me and my american wife agree. That’s why we eventually plan to move to Germany, where I was raised. Europe is far more advanced in quality of life. Infrastructure, education, health care, child care, vacation time, social security, ... if you don’t mind paying higher taxes but you get something for it.

Microsoft StarVers Feb 14, 2018

Can you guys instill the good culture here, please? Start from educating these Blind users who think oncall does not deserve extra pay or compensation off day? I would definitely want the vacation culture of Europe to come here but it seems our colleagues are the worst enemy who want others to work for the same hours in the name of passion for your service when in reality it does not really matter.

Europe is a huge place, Berlin is nowhere comparable to Amsterdam or Paris in infrastructure even though you pay high taxes.
