My company immigration team confirmed they would revoke H1bs after layoff on the last date, anyone knows its impact and how long does it take to process and revoke H1.
Will USCIS see a lapse between filing new H1b start times and company revocation time and what is its impact on H1 transfer timing wise?
Why do some companies revoke H1bs after the last date?

Revoke timeline will be same as approval(except premium). Usually if you create an account in USCIS to track your petition, you will get notifications when it’s approved and also when it’s revoked.
For USCIS, the last day of you on previous H1 is the day you are out of status - even if the revocation is approved/processed 3 months later.
Per new rules, they ignore 60 days between filing of new petition and your last employment day on previous H1. Anything more than that will attract scrutiny.
