This is a 2 topic discussion. 1. I, on behalf of Cisco had filed a patent with USPTO back in dec’17 (Indian Prior Art dec’16 - IPA) And it is in this state: 04-02-2019 Case Docketed to Examiner in GAU 02-11-2019 Case Docketed to Examiner in GAU Any ideas where does it go next? When can it potentially get accepted and published? What kind of royalty does it entail someone who doesn’t work with inventor company (Cisco) anymore? 2. I’v an opportunity to join MSIDC. Wanted to know how aggressively they pursue patents? Do they, like Cisco, pay heavy bills included in USPTO submissions (example: Cisco paid my attorney 20k$ to make claims) Cheers and brownie points to Cisco for enlisting me as main inventor in USPTO submission which happened after I had left Cisco🤘🏻 In general what are your views on patents. Do they still bear incredible IP value as they used to 5, 10 years ago? Answer any question that you like 😌

Are we ready to buy our forever home?
99.999% of patents are worthless. 0.001% of them are incredibly valuable I am the author of a couple of the worthless ones filed by various companies over the years. Kind of cool to have my name there but if I told you what they were for you'd laugh. Actually it's always a good pub story telling what my patents are for. The punch line is that they were actually awarded. Everyone has as good laugh and we order another round.
Haha! Thats one way to go for it.
For whats it’s worth though I’v pretty useful submissions or so do I think 😅 Its related to iCAM analytics and then some ML.
